About our Prints and Printmaker All D. Levine Ink fine art prints are accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. The limited edition, signed and numbered prints offered by D. Levine Ink are created using the giclée process (French for "spraying of ink"). It is unmatched in its capacity to yield precise and luminous coloring, making it perfect for the creation of watercolor images. Every one of our David Levine images is color corrected according to the artist's instructions. Our printmaker, Image Works, is a Fine Art Digital Printer located in Westport, Connecticut whose clients include discriminating artists, significant collectors, galleries, and publishers in the U.S. and Europe. For the David Levine collection, Image Works chose to produce the editions with Iris® printers using inks developed and manufactured by Lyson Specialist Fluids Ltd in the U.K. The paper, William Turner, is manufactured by Hahnemühle FineArt GmbH in Germany. It is a 310 gsm natural white mould-made watercolor paper with 100% rag content, making it highly archival. This printer, ink, and paper combination achieves results of brilliant color creation with a large color gamut, high image sharpness, and enhanced color purity necessary for capturing the art of David Levine. |
